The St. James Cathedral Centre Event Venue is located in the heart of downtown Toronto at Adelaide and Church Streets. Magnificently restored in 2012, it offers modern, multi-functional event space. With spectacular park views, full of natural light, state-of-the-art AV, and full kitchen, it is ideal for corporate events, social events, and weddings. Our doors are open to film production companies and photoshoots as well.
St. James Cathedral Centre Event Venue, as we know it today, opened in 2012 in a building that had originally opened in 1910 more than 100 years before. It was designed to meet the needs of the church and community much as the Cathedral Centre does today, and very different from those of a few years before when a Church School had occupied the site to serve the needs of a thriving Sunday School of several hundred children, a library for those children that was open on Saturdays, and even early classes for Wycliffe College, now a part of the University of Toronto. Designed by Frederick Cumberland, it had opened in 1855 shortly after the Cathedral itself had opened for services in 1853.
SJCC Event Venue provides the ideal setting for a modern yet elegant wedding reception. This stunning glass space is located in the heart of the city, next to the historic St James Cathedral and overlooking St James Park, which provide exceptional photography backdrops, offering both historic and modern architecture, as well as gorgeous urban green space. SJCC Event Venue is a true “hidden gem”, providing a unique and highly customizable space for your special day. Our event team together with the event specialists from our preferred caterers will help you create the perfect wedding reception.
